My 5 Minute Pampering Solution

I needed some pampering today! I was feeling exhausted, but had a to-do list as long as my driveway (which is loooonnnggg…) so it needed to be fast.

Is there such a thing as fast pampering? The answer, I discovered today, is YES!! This week, I received an order from Patchology. They have all sorts of great stuff for your skin, and I have been wanting to try them out for quite some time. I’m so glad I pulled the trigger and placed an order.

I wanted to try them out without a huge investment, so I ordered small packages of their “Flashpatches” for eyes, and lips. Those are my two problem areas. I always have dark circles under my eyes (the result of too little sleep and too much stress). My lips are always dry, no matter the weather. I always have 4 or 5 chapstcks in my purse, some in my desk, my car, my bedside table…everywhere!

I chose the flashpatches for eyes and lips specifically to gauge how effective the brand is.

The flashpatches are designed to work in five minutes! Five!! Anyone can spare that amount of time, right??!!? You can leave them on longer if you wish, but five minutes are all they need.

I ran a bubble bath, and while I was waiting for the tub to fill, I put on the undereye patches. Here is an incredibly flattering and glamorous photo of me with them on:

Yeah, I’m hot.

The patches are soaked in a serum. You just take them out and put them on. Pretty self-explanatory. They felt good right away, kind of cooling.

Then it was time to check out the lip patches. Again, they come soaked in a serum. Just lift them out, and put them on.

As you can see, they come in a plastic case that holds the patches (which are conveniently shaped like lips. I like idiot-proof skin care, since I’m a bit of an idiot when it comes to these things)

Like the eye patches, when you lift them out, there is some extra serum left in the case. I saved it. I’ll explain why in a minute.

My tub was full, and my five minutes were up. Because the patches felt SO GOOD, I decided to leave them on while I soaked.

When I got out, I took the patches off and placed them back in their plastic cases with the remaining serum. I’m going to see if I can use them twice. There was plenty of serum left in the cases, so I’m hopeful.

I was really pleasantly surprised with the results! There was significant improvement in my undereye area. Buh-bye dark circles!! They weren’t completely gone, of course, but they were significantly improved. The shin had tightened, and I was really pleased with the change!

My lips were SO SOFT after the patches! It’s been about 7 hours since I used them, and I can still see the difference. I’m delighted with Patchology and its products. I definitely recommend them. Especially if you are busy, and want something that is fast, effective, and feels luxurious! I’ve already placed another order. ?

Even though I didn’t think I had time to pamper myself today, I did! All I needed was five minutes! I feel so good, and I got everything on my list done. Bonus!!

What are your favorite ways/products to pamper yourself? Let me know in the comments!!

  1. This is something I struggle with. As a stay at home Mom money is very tight. I always put myself last. I can’t remember the last time I got a haircut or pedicure. I need to remember the importance of self care! Thank you for the reminder and recommendations! I want to see an after picture!

    1. Amy, as mom’s, it’s hard to put ourselves first, but that’s exactly what we need to do! I struggle with it to! I just remember that “you can’t pour from an empty cup “. For us to really be there for our loved ones, we have to be there for ourselves first. Thanks for reading!!

  2. I’ll have to keep that in mind and try it! I checked out the website, but we just got back from vacation and money is tight. Anyway, I know how hard it is to take time for yourself and do a little pampering. I always make excuses about not having the time. Sometimes we just need to make the time!
